What separates an xxx chat from a room full of strangers
A public room gives you an audience. A written thread gives you a reply that is about you. That is the whole trade, and it is worth stating plainly in both directions.
An xxx chat in a public room is a broadcast. Forty people type at one performer, most of it goes unread, and the explicit part gets rationed out to whoever pays loudest. Here the thread has two people in it. Nothing you send is competing with anyone else's message, and nothing you send is read out to a crowd.
The trade is honest to state. A room has a real person in it and this does not — every character on the roster is written, and written as an adult.
